Hurricane Preparedness Checklist from SERVPRO

With this hurricane season being an extremely active one, at SERVPRO of Greater St Augustine / St Augustine Beach, we wanted to share these Preparedness Checklist's.
First Aid Kit's
Be sure to have first aid kit's available! Bring as many as you think might be necessary. Also, be sure to bring important medication. (Most recommend at least a seven-day supply)
Important Documentation
Here's a list of important documents you should consider adding to your Preparedness list
- Insurance policies
- Driver's license's
- Social Security Card
- Medical records
- Marriage / Birth Certificates
- Stocks, bonds and other negotiable contracts
Food and Water
- 1 Gallon of water per person per day, for up to 7 days
- Extra ice for frozen foods
- Fill bathtubs with non-drinking water before the storm
- 7 day supply of non-perishable foods (packaged or canned)
- Special items for infants, elderly or disabled family
Tools and Supplies
- Cooler
- Paper cups, plates and plastic utensils
- Fire extinguisher
- Matches
- Manual can opener
- Pet care items, including extra food and water
- Clothing and bedding
- Batteries
- Battery-powered radio
- Flashlight
- Toiletries and hygiene items
- Sunscreen and mosquito repellent
- Cleaning wipes and hand sanitizer
- Boots / shoes
- Books and games
- Gas or charcoal grill for outdoor cooking
- Full propane tank / charcoal bags
- Battery-powered lantern
- Generator & Gasoline
- Extra fuel for vehicles
- Cash
- Cell phone and it's charger
- Keys
Last but not least; Have an Evacuation Plan
- Have a list of local emergency phone numbers
- Map of the area & of evacuation routes
- Locations of local shelters
