Why Choose SERVPRO for Major Commercial Losses?

We have a network of over 1,700 SERVPRO franchises to leverage if needed for extra equipment, man-power, supplies, etc. We have a supportive system to help you with your claim process, working with all insurance agencies and carriers. We are dedicated to providing St. Johns County with excellent customer service! Being able to successfully operate a business for a sustained amount of time is always impressive. Our location had humble beginnings in 2015 - we opened with two full-time employees, two trucks and barely enough equipment to complete a proper water damage dry-out in residential home. We looked up to companies that have been in business for a while and have mastered the ability to overcome increased competition, changing market conditions and insurance landscape, changes in the industry, and other adversities a business may face in a span of 30+ years.
Fast forward to this past year, we are one the fastest growing SERVPRO locations in Florida. In we set a record for St. Johns County (for the restoration industry) helping more than 500 customers/neighbors recover from various types of damages.
This rapid growth has not gone unnoticed. Obviously, we received many accolades from SERVPRO corporate, as well as much recognition and admiration by local Property Restoration professionals.
Most are supportive, some felt threatened by our success and began a campaign to undermine our achievements and network of referrals we have created. One thing is common, these competitors often bolster how long they have been in business.
With that we wanted to take this time and alert all consumers out there that simply having been in business for a "long period of time" should not be the lone factor qualifying one for a project. If a company has been around for that long, typically it must have a reputation, so always check reviews. Always check their community involvement, competency of their staff, and all other relevant information, such as social media, websites etc. It is very easy to get complacent, older companies tend to have an older equipment inventory, low levels of urgency, sense of entitlement, and unwillingness to adapt to newer market conditions and industry trends.
It is a great achievement to be able to sustain longevity in such competitive industry (Restoration), albeit, often companies that bolster their time in business as the core for their qualifications lack major components to truly be able to offer services that are better than competition. As a savvy consumer one should always check consumer reviews, project management’s credentials, condition of equipment and relevance, as well as the organization’s community involvement and their local “footprint”. If a company has been in business for more than 30 years and is truly the industry leader and an active member of the community – these types of companies rarely leverage time in business to swing preferences their way, as everyone knows who they are anyway! If you must mention you have been around for 30 + years, maybe you should change things up a bit and become more noticeable… Just a thought.
