The holidays are finally here! This time of the year is so special because of spending quality time with your friends and family shopping, baking, and decorating: With all the things you’re doing this time of year, taking extra time out for safety can seem like a tall order. But there are several basic precautions like checking your cords and watering your tree every day that can mean the difference between a happy holiday and a dangerous disaster. About 25% of Christmas tree fires are the result of electrical problems or heat sources like electric lights, fireplaces, radiators, and candles that are too close to the tree. Additionally, about half of holiday decoration fires occur because decorations are placed too close to a heat source. If we all keep check on our friends and family, we should all be safe and sound for the holidays as you are in the hands of SERVPRO in the case of any arising emergency
