Mold Free is the Way to be!

A local beachfront building managed by the St. Johns Cultural Center suffered water damage during Hurricane Irma. The building has an exterior made of coquina which made the building especially challenging to return to dry standard. SERVPRO of Greater St. Augustine was hired to overcome the challenges presented by this historic building.
Our expert restoration teams arrived on site and quickly determined the facility had accumulated years of water damage, most recently during Hurricane Matthew. The building had never been properly mitigated, and it was determined that mold was present throughout the entire facility.
Over 5,000 square feet of space was affected, and our partners at H2H quickly wrote a mold protocol for us to use in the process of mold removal. All drywall, flooring, baseboard, and other affected materials were removed from the building before our teams placed drying equipment in the facility. The mold protocol helped SERVPRO of Greater St. Augustine / St. Augustine Beach to remove all of the mold in the building. The building passed the mold post test on the first try!
Despite difficult conditions, our teams were able to overcome the odds to ensure the tenants of the building will have a facility that is safe for many years to come!
